Simple Uploader prob

I have been trying to close the simple uploader for about 5 minutes os I could peruse the gallery under the uploader pop up.....pressing neither the close button or the red x is doing any good...............it seems to finally have gotten the 1k of Opera pix uploaded.......

well a little over 20 minutes later it closed...........that sux!!!!
