I find that very disturbing and ironic. The photographer condems people for looting but then admits to breaking into multiple cars?
I really feel embarrassed by some of his comments, "And it was evident that Andy and I were merely two specs of salt in a sea of pepper" I don't care how you phrase that, it's racist and ignorant.
But thanks for posting this Gus, it shows us another side of the situation from someone first hand.
For sure we have to be able to read others writting & then turn & walk away.
I don't mean to cause another debate. It's just irritating. I believe Ben Harper sums up how I feel with his song Excuse Me Mr. (Sorry, I couldn't find a link to an complete audio file)
Believe me if anyone pulls a soap box up here i will shut the thread off like a tap. Its photos that we are looking at.
Were you offended at what i said ? I certainly had no intention what so ever of that.
Gus
I hope I don't seem to be on a soap box, if I do then I apologize, that was not my intention. And I was not offended at what you said, I think you have posted very good and objective opinions on here.

My last comment was not aimed at you, although re-reading it now I can see how it may have seamed that way. It was aimed at the whole situation here in the states, mainly that a whole group of people are labeled by the actions of a few. And I mean that on both sides of the coin.
Thanks for the post, and link. I don't know what the hub bub is about. This is one man's story told with photos, and words.
I liked the fact that it was told from one man's personal perspective, of living through the event. No TV cameras, ratings to worry about, and I didn't hear any political agenda.
I agree, great find. I believe my displaced sister-in-law will be really interested to see these photos and read the story. She's homesick without a real home to go back to...

Yeah looks like its dead...must have been a little too high in traffic.
Will it be possible to post the photos somewhere else, say, in a Smugmug gallery? They are a very unique collection which i know a lot of others would be very interested to see.
He has it in a slideshow format and might have changed some of the text, I haven't been right through it. People on other forums were disappointed it came and went so quickly - picked up the new address from the other place. I might have left a bit off the address, I had to hunt around his galleries for it but it is there.

Thought it was well done by an ordinary citizen.
