HI Everyone -

We had an early Thanksgiving two weeks ago with extended family in Arizona. I was nice to get out of wet Northwest weather to the warmth of Arizona. The plan now is to go skiing on Thanksgiving and eat pizza on the way home from the mountain - how's that for non-traditional?

Anyway, here are a couple of candids from the week. Interested in any feedback you may have...

#2 Not selectively color but desaturated.

    Very nice...
Sounds like a fun time and something out of the ordinary for the Holiday.
I like the first one but it's definitely blown on his left cheek.
I like the desaturated look on #2 and on #3 his left side it too hot for my taste.
I really like the last one but her skin tone looks very odd and unnatural....

Candid work is still my favorite thing to do...nice captures overall....

Thanks for the comments Rey...The left cheek being blown was intentional but I may have gone too far...
    Here's a reworked version:

#4 was shot with the setting sun but using flash to fill in the shadows a bit. I didn't gel the flash so there are two conflicting color temps to deal with. It probably is a little too warm. How about this one:
