We received over 12 inches of that beautful white stuff yesterday, but this morning woke up to -10 degrees and ice crystals in the air. It made for a beautiful sundog.

It does look like it came from somewhere unknown
When I first saw them this morning I thought the sunrise was looking good, but then I thought it was the northern lights since sometimes they will look like their are circling around. When I saw this ... it was Cool
Here is an explanation for Sun dogs in case someone might not know what they are.

Glad you like this one Randy -- it's my favorite. Light keeps changing with the sundogs so its really hard for me setting's wise. Wish the road wasn't there tho ... I had to be quick since I was going to lose it.

I have to say I've never heard of "Sundogs" before much less
see them.
Really neat captures and it's hard for me to pick a favorite, All three
of them are really well done and have great character.

I'd love to even see that let alone take a photo.
Always watching as well. Sweet it came for you.
Thank you for the nice comment
I was hoping the lighting would work in that shot.

Hi Craig --
Ha....you might have a hard time seeing those down your way, but I bet you have something kinda like it .. maybe not tho.
They are really nice too when the sun is higher in the sky, but haven't seen one of those in awhile.
Glad you liked them and saw something you've never seen before

Yes - it was cool to see. I keep kicking myself that I didn't get out there sooner, but next time ...
Glad you enjoyed looking at them.

Hi Art --
Happy to hear you like these -- Down your way you'd need to really be cold to see these
Sent a few to my friends in Andover, KS. Their originally from MN -- thought they might be missing our cold winter mornings

Hi Michael --
Yes it was chilly, is chilly and will be chilly for awhile now :cry
Hopefully we will see more of these this winter. As long as it's going to be cold .. might as well have something really pretty to see
Thanks for commenting Michael
