Macro bug season is coming to an end here in the UK, so I thought I get some whilst the going was good. I thought this was an interesting mix of "styles".

Wasn't me!

Hate to think what this spider has caught but it's big!

Fortune telling spider ( I think it's a resin bead from my pond filter)

Thanks Thomas- I only recently found out that small insects use spiders webs to hang about on (on purpose) apparently they are too small for the spider to bother with.

Nice series Brian. You're going to have to come down south for your winter mwink.gif The bugs are just starting to come out now...

    Thanks Alan,
Nice idea- going South for the winter.
Have you got your replacement lens yet?

    Follow the swallows!

I got the lens back last Saturday. They repaired it, rather than replacing it and I've taken well over 250 pics since then (just to check that it works of coursemwink.gif ). It *really* is an amazing lens - thanks for making me consider it. Am adding what I regard as the better pics to smugmug on a daily basis.
