On the weekend my wife and our 4 legged son ran in our annual "Pets in the Park" run to raise money for the SPCA. I couldn't run this year because of an IT band injury.

There were probably only 50-60 dogs in the race (and 250+ runners), but close to 700 dogs (and various other critters) were in the park to take in what was a carnival affair.

The "speedy" ones started near the front and the race was off!

Everybody was here to have fun and raise money for our animal friends.

A few motion shots for the last challenge ...

And to cool off at the finish line, something for the pooches ...

A few dogs that just watched ...

And some of our other gentle creatures joined in on the day ...

The cool off and last shots are really sweet! You can see a bit of the retriever's tongue, it looks cuuute. And so's the girl kissing the rabbit (it is a rabbit, isn't it?rolleyes1.gif)
    Sid.

    Thanks for sharing!

    The motion "triplets" are great.

The cool down shot at the end is something I totally understand. I used to
put my lab outside on warm afternoons with the sprinkler and he'd carry it
all around and water the lawn.
