Giving away 1MP downloads

I want to be able to offer free low-res digital downloads. I also want to be able to turn on right-click protection and, if possible, have a small watermark on the free digital download. The free images for use in email, social media, etc. Are part of a marketing plan designed to drive traffic and name recognition.
I want it to be easy for clients to get the images but I LOVE the idea of having them click buy and the use the shopping cart but...
If I set a price of $0.00, the 1MP downloads won't be available at all. If I set a price (say $0.01), the image shows up but I'd need to use a coupon code or something similar to make it free. That's a pain in the butt and I need to get them to understand how to get the images and a coupon code.
The best of all possible solutions would be a "free low-res download" button or link that I can add to the page.
Any ideas how to setup free (non-commercial use) low-res downloads?

Bumping this topic up. I want to do the exact same thing.
1. Allow free downloads for 1Mpix photos.
2. Charge for higher resolution downloads.
3. Turn on right-click protection.
I like the shopping cart, but I'm not married to it. A download button that only allowed DL of 1MPix photos would be great.
