Sports photography and especially hockey are not my area of expertise but I thought I'd give it a try for one night.

The Wild really didn't give the fans much to cheer about other than a good first period fight and some broken glass as they lost 6-1 to Philly.

Grimace, nice shots. I am thinking you shot JPG which amazes me cause your white balance looks really good. I am not sure I am a fan of the B&W picture, I think it is lacking some contrast. I do like the first and last shots of the goalies. Where were you seated?

What lens did you use??!??! I don't think I can't get that lens into the Shark tank. Lucky duck! mwink.gif

I think overall, you did fairly well and hockey isn't easy to shoot! Considering sports isn't what you normally shoot, you got a lot of elements that make a good sports photos -- eyes, actions, and puck! thumb.gif

I think your BW shot would work better in color since the BW version is lacking pop and contrast.

    Nice job! clap.gif

Tweak your BG's a little. I mean check your verticals and horizontals. Goal posts vertical, Baord lines Horizontal. It adds a lot to the picture if the players arent straight up. when they are skating they are leaning forward or to one side or the other. Use the goal posts and boards as your guides.
