My first sighting of this mexican bird that seems to like mistletoe and berries. They imitate the calls of 12 different species including retailed hawks, which is what I was seeking this morning.

    Lovely image! Great detail in those black feathers, and the eye is amazing.
    This is a species I've never even heard of before, much less seen. Never having been in Mexico probably has something to do with it :)

    Thanks very much Lindewe. I captured this in a wash near my house in Tucson AZ.

    Very nice capture Dan. I was looking for them in Palm Desert Area over Thanksgiving but did not see any. Use to see them a lot in the mesquite thickets around the palm oasis.
