Help my Huey stand up!

Yes, this is random!

The little plastic tabs at the bottom of my huey calibrator (that slot into the stand)- broke off somewhere along the line, and I can't get it to stand up in the base now.

Anybody else ever have this problem and, more importantly come up with a way of propping it up? I've tried a few things - paperclips and so on - but nothing really works very well.

Anybody?

Don't have that particular callibrator, but home-made Sugru (called Oogoo) can fix a bunch of things ... used it to make grips and a vertical holder for an external floppy drive (Sugru, itself, takes forever to arrive and is only in smaller quantities).

Oogoo is just as good. Something like a quick air-drying, permanent polymer clay (e.g., Sculpy) that does not need to be oven heated.

Do a Google search on "oogoo" or "homemade sugru". Hope this helps.

A couple of suggestions or remedies!
What OS are you using : If you are using Win-7 you can calibrate almost as well under display then Calibrate color! Follow steps provided-it's pretty dam accurate. (I'm happy me my results anyways)

If you still prefer to us your Huey - drill a hole in a piece of wood about 2"x2"- fit the cap from a magic marker (similar in size of course)- fit cap in small wood platform-Glue- place Huey stick in cap for monitoring of room light.

Nope, Vista - which definitely is NOT accurate enough on this machine.

Sculpy is a great idea!! Also markercap - if I hotglued that to the base (not the calibrator) that might work too. I knew dgrinners would have some ideas for me! thumb.gif
