Old, rusty, abandoned bike.

Even before I bought my Nikon D70 I already noticed this old, abandoned bike a couple of blocks away from our house. I usually come across this scene whenever I bring and pick up my kids to school. 2 days after my D70 arrived I took the courage to talk to the owner of the property and asked for some permission if I can take some shots of that old bike. Well, what do you know... the husband is a professional wedding and portrait photographer on the nearby town! He gladly allowed me to take some shots. (I even asked him politely if I can do some errands for him and somehow allow me to work on his studio as an apprentice. He said he'd call me when they need some help). From the multiple angled shots that I took this is the one that captured the image that I have in my mind. C&C would be most welcome. Thanks!

I like it, nice find, nicely presented. The soft glow on the bike and leaves makes the bike look ghostly, just right for the idea!

Nice shot. We Rust Junkies can always use more stuff like this.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Really nice lighting on this thumb.gif

Looks like a real old bike and one that was just asking to be photographed. Even an old headlight on the front. Cool find indeed.

I know you said that you captured the image you had in your mind but to me, the bike gets a little lost in the frame. The bike has great lines/curves/textures/colors that I think could be showcased wtih a much tighter crop. Just my 2 cents.
