Hi all at weekend here in ipswich Qld the mayor for ipswich put on carols by candlelight
and to say our farewells to the F-111 as it goes into decomition and the f-18 super hornets take its place.
This dunp and burn was nearly 2 1/2 minutes long.

When you say " dump and burn ", I assume you mean that the plane was on afterburner. I think I've read where the F-111 had a total flight time of less than 15 minutes when on afterburner. If that's true, I hope the pilot of the one you shot didn't wander off too far from base.

Thanks Richard i got the heads up on this was going to happen roughly 2hrs prior from a freind another Tog
who had already scouted the perfect vantage point away from thousands of people.At this stage there is only me and my freind who has this full two minute dump and burn.
