    Well, I find the lighting flat and the vista uninteresting. Sorry, but there it is. Nice snap, but not more.

    Very interesting shot, Walter. Could use a stronger focal point. Like maybe a big banyan tree or an old rusty car or something.

    Thanks Joel. I was looking for something real simple. Maybe a little overboard though on this. I thought the shadows and clouds would pull it off. I like it more as I look, but have some others with some foreground I'll try.

    BTW, the hill and the streak behind it are earthquake faultlines.

    I'm a desert lover, so this kind of simplicity works for me. Carrizo Plain, perhaps?

    Thanks-- I'm still liking it, but it's one image out of probably 50 bzillion I've taken over the years. So that's my context. The near-absolute sparseness is rare and a nice break to me.
