    #1 for me. thumb.gif

I really like how the bird is in there, and the person sitting watching out over that great expanse oblivious to the bird. Yup, the bird makes the shot for me.

I have been looking at these for a while now, easy to get lost in them.

The wide angle is so fantastic.

They work as a series but all are stand alone material. I particularly like #2 with all the shoes. The woman holding her shoes and skates, the shoes walking by and the shoes off on the pier alone.

Classy is the word that comes to mind. #1 and #2 are wonderful. Well done.

As far as initial impact goes - #1 does it for me. It's primal: the circle, the lines, the figures on the right; these three elements making a triangle = a kick-in-the-gut "yes."

The exposure and composition is very well executed. Good shots!
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Love all three. Wonderfully composed executed shots.

What really threw me off was going back and then noting who the photographer is! Breaking new ground in a spectacular way! clap.gif

The great majority of the shots in this forum lack that initial "wow" factor. Folks seem to like to talk up a shot..point out this or that..analyze etc. To me street stuff has to grab right off the bat..no thinking. #1 really does that for me. #2 to an extent. kick ass.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm moving back to Melbourne at the end of the year (at least for a short while) and have been really nervous whether the "Street School of China" had actually taught me anything.

I agree. Too much yakkety-yak. The more talk, the lousier the photo.

I really like #2. It's trying to tell a story. #1 is cool, too, but seems a bit too staged for me. Nice compositions and exposure!
