There exists about 20 delightfully painted churches in Central Texas. I was fortunate enough to visit four of them over the Thanksgiving holiday and capture a few images I thought I'd share.
The entire gallery from the day is HERE and C&C welcome!
#1 - St. Mary's Church (1892) in Praha, Texas.
#2 - St. John the Baptist Church (1890) in Ammannsville, TX
#3 - Sts Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church (1856) in Dubina, TX
#4 - St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (1906) in High Hill, TX
.

Wonderfully done, We've been wanting to see these, and now with these beautiful images,
we'll have to put them on top of our List.
Love the Lighting and perspectives you've captured and shown.
Very nicely done.

#1 and #3 are my favorites.
#4 comp seems a little flat
if you ever go back to #3 and you could do it, a shot from the floor might be an interesting perspective, if you think you could get it without being too disruptive.
If I get back, I'll try to reshoot #3 from the floor level. You're right in that it might be a bit better. I think any of the next ones will for sure include a floor level aspect.
As for #4, yeah, it's flat/head-on but what was cool about the shot was a stained glass window off the the right that the sun was shining through it. For about 4 minutes there was light and then it was gone. So I worked with what I could, ie: "oh cool, frame, shoot, shoot, gone".
#1 is my favorite
