This past weekend Davev and I put in 1,400 miles on our trip to Badlands National Park. We had pockets of good light from time to time but most of it was wasted on the drive there and back home. :-(

Here's a few shots from the trip.

    Very nice wildlife!

What's with the bobcat? It looks like it's two different colors. Is it something to do with age or seasonal coat thing?

I'd call this an amazingly successful trip. Most excellent wildlife images. I want to pick a favourite, but that's just impossible. I keep changing my mind.
Love that you've got a picture of a porcupine. That's something I've not seen very often!

Awesome set, Adam. Makes me want to head out to Badlands myself!

I can't imagine seeing so much wildlife on one trip, much less getting these terrific shots of all of them! Wonderful set. Best, Pam

Great shots...what type of gear are you using to get the long shots? Camera, lens and tele if using one.

    All were shot with a Canon 5D and either a 100-400mm or a 500mm.

As always great shots Adam. The look on the ram's face is interesting to me. The eyes are haunting.

    Wow! Very beautiful!
They are all lovely shots, but I'm particularly intrigued by the pale ground squirrel.

Thank you Harry. It looks like I'll be in your neighborhood later this month. Hopefully, I'll be able to come away with some bird and gator shots on the trip.

Astounding. I can't choose a favorite either, but the timing on the deer jumping is pretty stunning. Congrats on a successful trip.

Thank you Bob. Davev and took off on "Black Friday" and came home on Sunday. I believe we put in 1400+ miles for the whole trip.

Thank you. I like the shot but with the snow below him it makes it tough to see the height of the jump.
