    wow
another set of stunning images, razor sharp, i love the first one, they're all great but the color of the water in the background with the mix of blue and gray is great

Wow is right, Dennis. All perfectly sharp with beautiful lighting and great processing so that all are perfectly exposed. And great subjects! What is going on in that 4th photo? Is one duck trying to drown the other--or save it? Best, Pam

    Wow. Just... WOW.
    Stunning series of images. Seriously.
I have the same question as Pam, though. What -is- going on in the last image?

Hi Brian, and thanks for the kind words and that first image is a hit for sure with the lighting and all. The water colour makes the Merganser stand out with that gray as you mentioned.

    Thanks again

Thanks Pam for the Wow and the comments on these images. As for the last image, this was the last shot that I liked the best after these two were almost finished mating.

Thanks for the double Wow Lindiwe. This shot was at the end of them both mating, and the best pose of them at the time, with him pulling her feathers in the neck.

Thanks Al, and yes this one seems to be well liked for the lighting and all.
