I took this shot of my niece during a dance recital at a local high school gym.

    Overall a very Cool shot.
Maybe a bit less vignette and just a smidge more contrast. A bit more white point maybe, hard to tell on this crappy monitor.
I like the fog effect and the soft focus.
If it were mine I would black and white it, but I love black and white, conveys more of the mood.

Thanks much for the feedback! I will have to give B&W a whirl this evening.

    B&W for me
with just a tad more contrast. Very nice shot!

Edit : Scratch the contrast comment - the more I look at this, the more I like it as is.

    Mind if I try?
I like the soft pastel look style you gave to the shot. I just added some more softness after converting it to B&W then added some grain and glow to give some "mystery" to her. Hope you don't mind. :D

    Tom,
I like both of yours......but the b/w does need a touch more contrast, for my taste....
did you convert to b/w by doing it with the greyscale tab in photoshop or in the channels and saturation tabs.....Just curious??

Interesting thought on adding in the grain. Just the opposite of my thinking as I had used noise reduction to get rid of the grain that came from high ISO in a poorly lit gym. I do like the glow. Thanks for the feedback. It is always interesting to see how others woud treat a picture.

Thanks. I used a Black and white adkjustment layer in CS5. Then I used the auto button, then I manually adjusted the red slider to darken her cheeks and lips.
