Hello all. I'm having a bit of a problem understanding how adwords works with smugmug. I opened an adwords account set everything up including keywords and I added meta keywords through the control panel. But from what I read on here, google won't use meta keywords is this true? But then I read someplace that Adwords says my landing page should contain keywords. So confused! As of now my adwords ad does not show while searching. I am very confused and would appreciate any help possible on how best to integrate google adwords into my smugmug page. My website is www.bkgphoto.com. Thanks in advance.

I think you are talking about adsense. Adwords appear on top and beside the google search results, Adsense are ads that appear on websites.

No I'm talking about google adwords. But thanks for answering.

oic. Is your ad approved by Adwords yet? Usually each ad goes thru 2 layers of approval, 1 bot and 1 human.
G does not prefer meta keywords, hence if you can write like 3 or 4 sentence of kw rich description, you might get approved faster.
A few factors will also bring down your CPC, a kw-rich article or page is 1 of them.
