Nice generation gap there, Richard. But the colors seem a little hot.

I assume you mean the flowers. Yeah, magentas often seem to be oversaturated SOC on both my cameras. This one was toned down in post, but I guess not enough.

Thanks, Sara and Don. Yes, Don, it is graffiti--really obnoxious behavior. Fortunately, it's easy to fix with a hedge trimmer--as long as it doesn't happen too often lol3.gif.

Good e on the graffiti Don--I completely missed it.

I like the shot Richard--perfect title and capture--the older guy is perfectly in focus while the youth is a blurr.

I guess the color thing could easily be remedied in b&w no?

I liked the color version better than the B&W, but it's always an option.

A lot of nice elements. I assume that the arrangement of the hedges matched with the concrete post in the middle is what set you up. The horizontal lines/layers also are pleasing. BUT the two subjects actually disrupt the composition for me. I don't automatically make a connection of contrasting young/old in viewing this. So it is close with just a little too much conflicting elements for me to unconditionally like it.

    Thanks, S&S.

rainbow: I hate those posts--they're always in the way :bash. Actually, this time I was less concerned with composition and just wanted to get a juxtaposition of old and young. The dude on the bike was doing acrobatics and I just waited around till the opportunity presented itself, which didn't take long. It would have been stronger if the bike had been doing a wheelie, but the people just weren't following the script lol3.gif.
