Images on CD cover

There is a possibility that a local musician may want to use one of my images either on the cover, or inside of, their next release.
This was an image that I shot at one of the performances and was not hired to shoot.
My question is-what does one charge for such use? I've not sold any images in this way in the past and since I was not hired to shoot this, does that make a difference?
Any advice is appreciated.

Usually a couple hundred bucks would cover (pun) it. However, many musicians don't have much $$$, so I might offer a 2-year 1000 copy license for $99.00. Then if he's still selling the CD after a few years, get a little more $$$.
