My banner and tabs appears correctly on all of my pages (like this one for example):

http://smais.smugmug.com/gallery/10920971_BzGah#1017370797_2DQuT

but the banner and tabs don't appear in this one:

Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Under gallery settings make sure "custom' is checked for appearance.

My custom banner disappears for a few minutes every once in a while, across all of my pages/galleries. My custom navbar remains but the image I used doesn't seem to load. I have seen this happen on two computer over the past week or two, trying 3 different browsers, and cannot figure out where it seems to go. I can refresh the page over and over and it seems the banner won't come back until it's good and ready. Any thoughts?

I'd suggest getting another link for the banner photo. This one you have in
    there doesn't make any sense.

This does, but doesn't work. Make sure external links are on in its gallery. Also put in correct size.

Thanks Allen, though I'm not sure why it is given such a strange link. The image was uploaded to "My Site Files" via the Easy Customizer's custom banner link. I thought that would have been the simplest way to do it.

External Links are now enabled for My Site Files, but what should I do about the nonsensical link? Will it work better now that this is enabled?

Go into Easy Customizer and change the photo link to this. This does work now.

I'm sorry if I've missed it but I cannot find a way to change the link to that, just choose between using an Image or Text. If it's easier to remove the custom banner and enter it as CSS we could do that, but I'll need help coding it.

Isn't there a place in easy customizer to add the photo link?

No, you can only choose between using an Image or Text.
