With the weather report looking promising (and no snow in sight), I headed to Yellowstone for closing weekend (it's the last chance to drive your personal vehicle to Old Faithful until next April). I ,unfortunately, was successful at missing both sunrises :cry, but I came away some photos that I like.
C&C always appreciated.
Morning in Hayden Valley. Alum Creek enters the Yellowstone River here. These trees are very photogenic in the fog.
A vertical showing some of the clouds above the fog bank.
What would a trip to Yellowstone be without a photo of a thermal feature? This is Black Pool at West Thumb. It is one of my favorite pools because of the blue of the water and the white edging and beautiful bacteria mat where the runoff flows under the boardwalk. I am forever trying to capture all that.
