Haven't seen anything like this coming down the Ohio :D
It's a life size model of the Nina the one Christopher Columbus sailed to the new world in 1492.
Pretty cool "little" ship ...it took some real nerve to go across the Atlantic in that.

Here's a few I like if I get a chance I shoot some more it leaves on the 19th I think.

Shot in the early morning red sun comming up.

Still morning different angle with fog

Sun little higher this one is my favorite

Thanks for the look

Nice. I would have liked to see a shot of the whole ship to get the perspective of just how small all of those ships where.

I remember seeing them in New York and the first thought was "Those guys must have been NUTS":crazy
I spent 8 years in the Navy and have a healthy respect for what the Atlantic can do to even big ships.

It was hard to get in close ...would have been better from a boat or if it was out in the river.

But here's one shot that will give you an idea how small these ships were.

    2 Thumbs up!!!
thumb.gifLove the first pic. The red sun makes the boat almost appear to be a shadow. Very Dramatic. Just out of curiosity was that in Louisville,KY?
Stimulating the economy one lens at a time. :super

    Bear
I googled around and found that about 27 people or so on board
What I found intresting was that they took animals on board horses, cows, pigs, and chickens
The horses and cows had to be carried in suspeded slings to keep them from breaking their legs during the voyage.
Boy I bet that was pleasant cruse icon10.gif

Here's the web site I found

    Thanks
