So it is getting cold in Ohio, so I thought I would attempt to set up a studio in my basement. The question is... what do people think about using a concrete wall (unfinished) as your background. There are color variations, and spatters on the wall. I thought it would be good to shoot my youngest daughter, but it just did not work out. That is why I did not post no photo's here. My thought is to shoot my son, since he is the skateboarder type looking kid.
What size deminision makes for a decent studio??? Back drop suggestions ???

It all depends on how you lite the wall. Try putting a lite behind the subject about 2 feet from the wall for a background lite. this might be a place to try for a 3/4 portrait. Next try gels on the light.
