I took this shot in a back hallway in St Joseph Chapel. in Salado Texas. I tried to focus on the wall texture, to soften the cross, and then turned it into B/W. CC and Ideas welcome!!!

    Yeah, I can see what you saw, and it's the beginning of a very interesting idea, I think. I like the first of the two better because I think the exposure is more interesting. I think that while the light and texture in the image are appealing there is not enough in what's there to follow through, so to speak, to something with more weight. I can imagine this as a basis for a narrative if there were a character or some, and some action, in the frame as well. For me it's like a set ready to come alive in a dramatic context.

    I agree, On the right wall, there is a mirror, framed with different colors of Jesus on the cross. My goal is to go back and find just the right angle to put the cross in the middle of that mirror, hopefully getting the same shadows, and the wall texture. I am hoping that a 200 ISO, and about 5 seconds of shutter will work. Thank you for the comments, I will post my re shoot!
