A little Bicycle Ride
A cold day out.
For the past year I have commuted to work here in the Pacific North West. Everett to be clear. My commute begins in Southern California where pretty much everything is different except Interstate 5. It is the same clogged arterial it entire length. I have traveled it to be certain of this fact.
So, to get away from that while I'm away form home, I brought a bicycle with me and have spent several weekends and evenings exploring the many bicycling trails that criss-cross this area.
Yesterday I went for a very cold ride up one of my favorites here, The Centennial Trail.
Centennial Trail History
I began in the town of Snohomish,
What looked to be a slowly warming day turned out not to be,
As I got deeper into the shadows the frost held a good grip on the trail,
For my trouble I did get to see some nice country again.
I got back to the rented truck, cold tired, and sore. A long hot shower later and a small pizza and a glass of wine with friends made close of another good day here in what we call the PNWet.
