Great! Freeze over more so all the rare birds head south down to here.
btw, congrats on the first state record ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD in west central
IL (Peoria area). Been swapping out hummer feeders as they freeze here
hoping for a rare stop by.
Close the dang freezer door....Man. You're freezin' my bumb and my birds. Down in the upper 30's here this AM. Lived in Illinois for 35 years. Know the weather all too well. At least the Bears, Hawk and Illini won this week. hehehe
Nice capture Ric. I suppose you had to travel to find this guy instead of opening up your patio door and letting him walk in? Well captured. Keep the camera warm and the cold breeze at your back.
I hate winter too Ric. Our temps down here have plummeted to the 60s.
Excellent image.

Just the other day my wife was telling me how some relatives of a co-worker remarked that the Sandhill Cranes were still around in unusually high numbers up in central Wisconsin. I was thinking...hmmmm....maybe a mild winter was coming.

That poor old heron looks as though it's in some serious wind!
