New basketball poster (C&C)

I'm trying for something that I can use for many different action cutouts. It's simple with a grungy, industrial feel.

Thoughts, suggestions?

    Pretty good idea, the only problem is that the image that you are using to build the photo around isn't that great. Color isn't too good and it's not very sharp. You might look for another image to use.

    Yeah, that's a whole other discussion. I shot some freshman basketball last year, but this is the first HS varsity game I ever shot. I'm both rusty and inexperienced. Some of the softness is from noise reduction some is (I suspect) missed focus. The lighting was bizarre as well. 100% indirect gym lights. Never seen that before. It made for some very bright backgrounds.

    No. I've never seen that card before. However, it looks like they got the BG from the same place as I. I have a small collection of free, creative commons and public domain backgrounds and textures.

    EDIT: On closer inspection, it's actually quite different than mine even though the overall look is very similar.
