Playing with Nik software. Thoughts on B&W conversion?

The image looks very promising. Sam, you probably want to try playing with the "high structure" default and then use the "antique plate 1" option for your image. Just a suggestion. How I wish you could clone some details on that white canvas tent at the lower right corner. I am assuming this is from a reenactment scene?

Looks flat to me. I don't know what controls Nik provides but in PS I would raise the black point.

    Howdy Sam,

    Thoughts:

I think this is a very good conversion, but it's not my preference...

Meaning: I personally like crisp B&W images. Most scenes actually have black in them, so that's where I set my black point. I didn't pull this image into PS, but it looks like its a Grey & White.

Make no mistake, if your happy... I'm happy

It's all about how you want the image to look thumb.gif
