Hi everyone,
I am in your neck of the woods again. WE will be renting a car, and doing a day trip to sierra national forest this weekend. Its supposed to be sunny and cheerful, albeit cold.
Anyways, our plans are to start around 10am, reach shaver lake by 1pm, then see couple of lakes around that area, do some driving around and maybe see bass lake at night for star trail photography.
So what do you suggest for a 5-6 hour excursion period in that area, we will reach there by around 1pm

Just FYI, it's raining in the Bay Area at the moment so you might see a little snow at higher elevations. The town of Oakhurst is nearby and there's the old Shaver Lake Railroad and the Shaver Lake Museum.
Maybe head up to Wawona as well? All the way into Yosemite if you have time.
We will reach there by 1pm, and will do sight seeing till 7pm or so
