I've responded to some threads, but this is my first post here. I'm venturing into the world of doing something with my photographs other than enjoy them myself and sharing them with friends so... I'm not really sure what to expect, in general, or from this forum!

This is one of my favorite wildlife shots.

It was taken from the front of a ferry in Puget Sound. When I look at it I feel like I can see the wind lift that holds it aloft.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

Emily

Interesting. To be honest, at first I didn't think too much of this shot; however, after reading how you feel about it I can literally see what you mean, and now think of it as a very nice artistic image. Personally, I'm more of a "shooter" than an "artist." :) Welcome!

By viewing this image...does that make one a BUM looker? Some strong angular compositional elements working in this image. I might prefer it with the subject matter in the top third of the frame instead of bottom, but this works to an extent. Probably not what the bird lover was looking for but I have no problems with trying to break the "mold". Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to Dgrin. Keep 'em coming.
