Items Disappearing in Cart?

I had a client just contact me about adding something like 100 items to their cart, and then when they went to view all the items in the cart, it was completely empty. It did take a little while to process everything, and she swears she didn't do anything odd in the process of adding items to the cart, but the cart was flat-out empty when she went to check out.

This a known problem, a weird problem, or something that needs looking into? She's redoing her order, but just finds it more than a little annoying having to do that since it was such a large order to begin with.
