Just got my Lensbaby 2.0 in the mail. What a funny little thing this lens is.

Walked it around the neighborhood on my D70. No metering, no focusing. I felt like a pioneer. :-)

Check out the shots: http://trishtunney.smugmug.com/gallery/768852

    Neat clouds
It's really cool when the unexpected gives unpredictable and wonderful results. I see you're San Francisco based. So many things to play with with a Lens Baby. I can see you at Pier 39 shooting parts of tourists -- oh and what would the lens baby do to the sea lions? Or the cable cars? Or moving cars?

It looks like you're going to have a blast with lens baby!

Trish, very fun and exciting lensbaby pics. I like the bird/grafitti shots as well as the one you posted.

I'm a big fan of the lensbaby but too cheap to buy one yet. I did find a free photoshop action that's supposed to duplicate the effect (with motion and radial blur effects). While not as nice as your "real" lensbaby gallery shots, here's one of my meager "artificial" attempts:

I also liked the other shots in your galleries. you have a creative, impressionistic view of the world! thumb.gif

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Hey! That's cool. And what a great dashboard.

With Photoshop, you miss out on the fun of not knowing if the shot worked out until after you get home. But some would argue that's not fun at all! :-)

I love your hot car pictures!

Thanks for checking out my galleries. I appreciate the comments.

San Francisco is a really great city to shoot in. I should get up to those tourist areas. They're so pretty. For some reason I always end up heading out to the ghettos. :-)

Thanks Andy. It just took a few cobranding re-designs to get me more involved in the forum. :-)

There's a lot of great information on these boards.

What is the difference between the new and the old?

    XO,
    First version was f/2.8,f/4.0,f/5.6,f/8.0
New has same as above and also f/2.0
    Also easier to change aperture
Also has a "sweeter" sweety spot
    And $50 more then original
    First version $99
    Second version $150
    LensBaby
