Black-bellied Plover - S.W Florida

I just got back from Bosque. Had a great time with my group.
This one before my trip to N.M.

This one with some fill.

Hope you like it.

Canon 7D, 400mm L @ f/8, 1/640 sec, ISO 400, 580 EXII, Better Beamer,
Manual mode, Hand-held.

Thanks!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    I like it too, Max.thumb.gif

I'd probably try to show a little more detail around the eye.

    A very nice look overall.

Composition wise, I like the little green shoots around the bird's feet--with all the rest of the background white. Nice photo! Best, Pam

Maxis, I chase these fast little ones all over the prairies during the spring migration up here in northern Alberta and they are not the easiest bird to photograph as they can hide in a tiny mud lump and disappear. This is truly a FANTASTIC shot!!! I have not seen too many this beautiful. Great job.

Agree this is a nice shot, and one bird that I enjoyed shooting there in Oct of this year.
