I need help..I am begging. I have been doing some photo work for pay. What I like to do is upload photos in Picasa, tweek and crop them and put them on a gallery in Smugmug. Then I use Rapid Fetcher and put them on a CD for clients if they want. I am having trouble with resolution for printing. When I put them on the CD, the resolution is too small even though it seems okay in Smugmug. What would be the best way to handle the tweeking and cropping before putting them in a gallery and then getting them to a CD keeping the right resolution. My camera store tells me they need 1-3 MB for each pic. I don't know how to make sure I have that. Can you please help me? Thank you.

I would suggest this workflow:
- Take photos
- Import into Picasa
- Review, crop and tweak in Picasa
- Upload desired images to Smugmug to share
- Upon request, export desired images from Picasa and make a CD from those images - they will be full resolution
Picasa will keep your images at full resolution. In Smugmug, when you say you tweak them are you using the Picnic editor? If so, it is Picnic that is likely cutting the resolution and that should be avoided. When you upload from Picasa, are you uploading the full resolution images?
