Some of the local senior football players volunteered for some book reading at the school program. I thought it'd be a good opportunity to take some shots and practice on concept and composition. C&C would be most appreciated. :D

I'm digging the graininess and how you've captured the attentiveness of the children. thumb.gif

I agree on the grain. Did you do that in pp or did you crank the iso?

The grain was added on the pp, CASowers. I thought giving the image some grain would add to the effect I want to achieve. :D

I really like the comp and the attentive of the kids that you caught here. Nice capture. For my personal taste, the blacks are clipped too much. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks, Mike. Yeah, the blacks are clipped. I'll try to do a different pp with regards to that one next time. The lights are really a pain to consider inside the room. I think I shot this at 1/30 sec at f4.5 handheld. The original image was underexposed by -2/3 EV so there's not much latitude for me on the black part. Thank you for the input. Another new experiment for me to do inside photoshop later. :D

Havent' visited in a few days and almost missed this one. I think you captured that decisive moment! Great composition. I don't mind the clipped blacks. Gives it that inky blackness and dramatic appeal like a brush & ink drawing. clap.gif

Thanks briandelion. I'm trying to emulate the old film kind of effect on my images that's why I'm playing with the grain and a little bit more of contrast. I'm glad you liked it. :D
