Found this neat place with old cars and gas pumps (no gas pump photos). Unfortunately I had just a brief moment to take these, but hope to return there when the sun is shinning and the snow is gone. Didn't help I was using the wrong lens .. so I couldn't get a good distance shot. Went for these closer up ones instead. Next time I'll be prepared :D

Boy, Mary, you have run across a mother-load of rusty stuff. It certainly calls for a return visit to that place.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Rust is neat ... really tests one limits of how far their willing to push when editing it :D

When I first joined here I'd see all the rust shots ... and the rust junkies love for it. Gave me something to work towards - Now when I'm out and about I look for it.

Happy to hear you liked them :D

Thanks Randy -- that toothy truck was a neat looking truck. I can't wait to see it when all the snow cover is gone.

We've been pushing for a "Rust" sub-forum for awhile.... rolleyes1.gif

The more posters, the merrier and more likely it 'might' happen! thumb.gif

I got some "rusty" shots, too shooting an old john deere tractor and posted it here. Makes some dgrin "rust junkies" like me appreciate it. rolleyes1.gif Pushing the saturation and sharpness makes them really stand out on the image. thumb.gif I just love to play around with your #3 image and crank it all the way. :D

As I've said many times, when rust is the real subject, there's almost no such thing as over-saturation. Reality plays second fiddle to what can be accomplished when you play around with the dynamics of rust.
