All the great shot from Northern CA are makeing me homesick. Have relocated to the East Coast after 20+ years in the Bay Area.
I thought to take a few bridge shots of the Varizanno and George Washington both have stunnig settings both had big "NO CAMERA" signs hopfully I will be able to do the Brookelyn.
So I will have to post an old standby when I left cameras were still allowed:dunno

I'm a bit puzzled on this one, you have 'no camera' signs in places in the states?? WHY? Probably not the place to ask why, it's just very intriguing.
    Great shot BTW thumb.gif

I think its due to security, and protectionism. Although there aren't many signs, plenty of places in the UK will stop you shooting, I've been stopped in shopping centres, railway stations, churches... ne_nau.gif

    What a shame!
I had no idea you can't take pictures of those structures. Nice to know so I don't go out of my way to shoot them.

I ran into a similiar issue when I was attempting to take a picture of San Quentin Prison. I thought I was going to get tackled. The guard pointed out I was on state property even though I was on the right side of the gate. Sure enough, I was standing 3 feet on the wrong side of the yellow line. Crazy world for a photographer.

Also, a heads up to anyone wanting to shoot The Palace of Fine Arts. There is major construction being done on The reflection side of the park. The park side (reflection side) is gated up making it difficult for someone under 6 feet tall to take a day shot and nearly impossible to take a night shot. I pinned my tripod and camera to the top of the gate and was only able to come away with the shot below. It's not the greatest but it is better than nothing.
