Yea, with the couple over to the right and their full shadows would have made this betterr. Nice capture though, and of course, we don't know what was to the left.
Thanks for the comments, yes, the left side was ugly, above was old apartments and the beach was too far to the right to be included. Some have suggested a better crop and posting in color so I'll include that also. Thanks again.
We had a nice day today, it was sunny and it hit 75 degrees on the west coast. These two were enjoying their company on the beach!
For me, and I stress for me this was a much better idea than it is an image. It's one of those things that we see, get excited about, but the reality somehow just misses. Perhaps it's that the sand makes such a busy background, and one so tonally close to the couple. Perhaps it's that you seem so far removed from the couple - and therefore the viewer is too. I can't put my finger on it - which I know means I'm not helping you much - but this strikes me as a near miss, rather than a hit. Sorry.

It's worth keeping...:D But getting closer would definitely make it much stronger.
