Been swamped with Nutcracker the past couple weeks, so guess what my entry is coming from! Just wanted some feedback on what might work better for the theme (better late than never, right?!):

1. Last Dance of the Dream

2. same title - this one needs different processing, hope to get to it this afternoon!

3. Last Seconds on Stage

4. Last Stitches

And on this last one, I'm not sure if it exactly qualifies - I set up the camera for the shot, but since I'm in the shot, one of the other sewing ladies took the photo.

Thanks for the feedback!!

For the theme I like the last one as it really tells a story and fits the theme--but you are right, the fact that you didn't press the shutter button I think DQs the shot--but I'm not 100%.
My second favorite is #2, but yes you need to work on the processing a bit. I like the look you captured on his face as well as her dance pose.

Glad you will make it on time--I just re read the rules and saw that time isn't over til tonight.

I like #1 (maybe with a tighter crop) and #3. They seem to have drama and the colors are nice!

Thanks for the comments Liz, Sandi & David. Liz - #4 does tell a story, but not all of it - most people probably don't realize that partnering dancers have to be sewn into their tutus so the male dancers don't get broken fingers from getting caught in the costume during turns, lifts & throws. Plus that is the first tutu I've ever made - started last Saturday & finished it Wednesday afternoon for dress rehearsal that evening! I was thrilled with how it came out (& so was the Artistic Director - major kudos)! And Sandi - I had already started working on #2 when I read your comment, & I would prefer to use #1, mainly because it's my daughter, but the pose in #2 fit better with the dreamy mood I was hoping to portray (without the backstage extras), and the dancers' lines match up with the clouds better.

So this is what I've entered:

Good luck to all in this set of challenges!
