This is interesting, but it lacks a bit in sharpness. I think your bubbles in the tank are delightful.

It is wonderful to see how hard you are working these themes. thumb.gif

The bubbles are moving .. popping and making new bubbles constantly .. that was the sharpest image I could get without it being over-sharpened and obvious, but here it goes.. is this better?

I like your other shot with the tank bubbles better than this one.

Not the one I was thinking of. It was the first one you posted - your 3rd try of it where you had adjusted the lighting and cropped it square.

    I like this one, too.

ahh oh well ... I changed my entry to this one I posted because I thought that was the one you were referring to. Too late to change it again, tho. It's not like any of my pics are going to win anyway ... so I guess it doesn't matter which one I enter. :)

:D Sometimes I feel that way, too. It is the problem with a subjective art. With practice, I am getting better at critiquing my own photos, but I am still sometimes surprised by a reaction I get from someone. A photo I think is great will get little reaction or one that I think is average wil get raves.

Jenn - you are getting better. It takes time.

I thought the one you didn't enter (#3) was good. It certainly said "flow". The one you did enter was good, but didn't hit the theme for me as much as the other one. I noticed that this time, you went for simple and appealing instead of cluttered. That was a huge step in the right direction. You're also getting better at lighting.

Remember, your goal is improvement, not winning. Winning is just the cherry on the icing on the cake. If you look at it that way, you've already won.

I went back to the first thread and looked for one I put a #3 on and wasn't sure which one you meant because I didn't name one #3 ...

How is my lighting getting better? Not so many shadows?

edit - I JUST found the one I put as #3 .. rats!!! sorry...my bad!

You're finding a balance with the light. Not to dark, less harsh shadows, not too bright.....
