Hi, I was out looking for snowys last week and found this huge female. I got some great shots, however these 2 are not the good ones but i thought it would be nice to show those living on the good side of the tracks [weather wise] the talons and wings of these wonderful birds. sorry they are so small but I resized them so my dial -up would be quicker. have a nice winter to all.1127852802_vJHaq-M.jpg11389226_HS2cK#1127852603_zM8Qd-A-LB%20target=_blank%3E1127852603_zM8Qd-M.jpg I don't know why they are not showing up I will try again.

Wow! I've never seen one of these birds in flight. We don't exactly have them in the swamp. Post more! Best, Pam

Thanks Pam & Al, The snow has not let up yet and tromping through the prairie fields is too deep for me and as soon as the roads are drivable I will be back out looking. I saw a huge male as well but they have just come down from the north[ well more north than me] so they will pick their hunting grounds soon and stay put for the winter so I should get a lot of shots once I let them settle. If I go out to soon now they will choose another area and I don't want that. Take care.
