Did you create it with MyCanvas? At this point I don't think it's possible for you to offer the calendar for sale via MyCanvas. You could only order it yourself.
Blurb offers a way for you to create photo books and then offer them for sale at your own prices via the Blurb shopping cart. As far as I know they currently offer photo books.
Looks like nothing changed as of 2012
A friend suggested that my images would look great in a calendar. While looking through SmugMug's labs pages I found the link to MyCanvas.com for creating calendars.
Great! So I spent several hours doing all the uploading and calendar design work and ultimately created a calendar I was proud of and expected to be able to sell via my pro SmugMug site. Today I went back into SmugMug to build a gallery and sell said calendar.
No can do, I discovered. There's still no back connection to transfer MyCanvas.com calendars back into SmugMug. What a bummer.
You'd think that since SmugMug is all about handling the selling and printing logistics for pros they wouldn't advertise and link to something we can't even use.
they do not even off all of Bay Photos catalog and that has been complained about for many years nd the only comments is maybe in the future we would really like to ....Paraphrased of course ....
I spoke with an online SmugMug "hero" about the calendars today. He is quoted as saying, "You can create calendars, but they are not able to be sold through the site. The vendor used for creating the calendar is simply allowed access to the images on your site so the calendar can be created."
So, my question is this... "Why offer a product that we can't sell?"
After all, Smugmug is a business-oriented site. And the fact that SmugMug is a business-oriented site has been reiterated by the new annual price increase for SmugMug services (worth the $300 price tag only to people doing business on the site).
In the beginning of the new year, I plan on doing a full review of all feature requests that are in the pipeline. I know this is one of the ones that I am personally interested in as well. Stay tuned.
