I am working on these pictures organizing hem into albums to show my landlord how well I have maintained the place, etc, etc.

Some how, not sure, by html code began appearing?
Any thoughts?

I have been trying to figure it out as I am quite sure it is something simple ...

Hi, as of last night's release we don't allow this in album names anymore. I'm really sorry.

I agree with the others. This is not good to just make a change like this without any customer notification and any chance to prepare. You need to sensitize the sorcerers to the need to notify in advance when you're going to break customizations. Someone had to know this would affect some customers.

This rots. And no definitive answer on why, when, how, or why something would just get switched overnight like that with no warning. Very disappointing and bizarre behavior from Smug, sorry to say.

I don't think you've read the latest, Anna Lisa, or tried to make an Album Title with html in it, have you? ear.gif

Andy, I'd been doing a bunch of work on album titles as a group, in my CSS, because in the new styles, the title is indistinguishable from the rest of the breadcrumb-- it's the same size font, etc. But I had to take some of them off the list because it didn't work well to change the whole category (not all galleries in one cat have the same theme), and putting it individually in CSS would have been too cumbersome. So I was hoping to start working on the titles in html the way I've worked on some captions. That's why I was disappointed to read this. I was also unhappy that people's html would suddenly either start showing or not working or both. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "....you haven't read the latest...". I read everything there was before I posted. Obviously I couldn't read what wasn't there after I posted! But I just read what got posted since then and don't see what you might be referring to. I see something you posted now, but don't entirely understand the meanting. Is Html allowed in gallery titles for the foreseeable future, or not? I'm not clear on that.

    It works.

But you'll always be smarter and the cooler kid on the block when you use CSS to affect the style of your gallery titles. Always. Don't know how? Just ask in Customizing Forum.

Like I said though-- pretty cumbersome going into CSS to change an individual gallery, so I'm glad html works now. What I've been wondering though is... my galleries are very slow these days. I mean, when I click on a photo, I always see a few split seconds of black between that one and the next one after clicking (SmugMug style). I don't know if it's the cumulative effect of having lots of customizations & probably disorderly CSS, Javascript, etc. or what, but that's what I'm starting to wonder. Problem is, if that's what it is, I'd have to have someone clean it up who knows what they're doing. And I wonder if html in a gallery is faster, or if it's faster having a whole lot of CSS to change individual galleries.
