Joel, great catch just finding the tracks in the untouched sand. You did a nice job capturing the image. Very cool. clap.gif

Thanks, guys. Richard, it took a moment for me to realize what was going on here as well. I didn't follow the tracks long enough to see any conclusion, and I do wonder about the fate of the little guy.

Here's a wider angle of the scene, btw (not to give too much away of an upcoming post in Landscape. mwink.gif).

Very good catch, Joel. Have you any idea as to what critter made the " stalker " tracks?

    Happy holidays,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks, Tom! I'm guessing a mouse or other small rodent with short legs.

Happy holidays to you and yours as well! thumb.gif

This is really neat and also a little chilling too. My curiosity is going as to what animals left the footprints.

I can see a mouse doing the prints in the upper portion of the photo, but what made the ones in the lower part of the photo???

Good eye on picking these prints up. I expect that when your standing out there everything kinda blends into 'one' thing .. sand :D

Gonna have to check out your post in Landscapes :D

Thanks Mary and TenThirteen. I'm pretty sure the stalker is a bobcat. Here's a very similar track which the author claims is one as well. http://www.meetup.com/letshike/photos/184073/1691025/

    Thanks!

Bobcat -- I can understand you not following them.

You shoulda followed the bobcat tracks to get a closeup of the bobcat--that would be amazing! :D

As for the image, well, I think it's amazing!

Thanks, Mary and Lauren. Maybe I should have followed the bobcat. You're right, Lauren, that would have been amazing. But the sun was just coming up and we were in dune shoot mode at that particular moment. Thanks again for commenting. thumb.gif
