Christmas at the Capitol

We did this family photoshoot last weekend at the Arkansas State Capitol building, they open it up every year and it's really one of the only inside warm places to do photoshoots around the holidays. As such, there were probably a dozen or so photographers spread out through the building doing shoots. Everything from people with Rebel's with the popup flash (i'm sure they got great shots eh? :rolleyes ), to me with my strobist-style flash stands, to a lady with hot lights and a big softbox.
But this family was awesome and I was really happy with how things turned out. Lighting was kind of a challenge when the rooms are so big. I did learn though that an SB-600 pointed straight up at an arched white ceiling 40 feet above me still works pretty well.

#2 (I'm a bad influence on the children. Luckily we didn't get kicked out for doing this )

I would brighten up #1 a bit, maybe adjusting the levels.
