I like #2 better than #1, if that helps! Would love to see #2 with a simpler background....

Thanks, SweetHarmony and Konomaniac! I'll play with it a bit and see what I can do. This was a found setting, so I don't have control of the BG, but maybe I can tweak it in PS and tone it down.

I also have a couple of other ideas. Are either of these better?

I like pan. Maybe clone out the powerline. Definite potential IMO. :)

I really like 2 and 5, but could you bump the color levels/curves so they are more golden? If the browns in #2 were more golden, that shot would be my choice. Otherwise, in #5 the retriever looks more white than golden, so bumping the golden color on the dog would make it much stronger for the theme.

Also, maybe cropping out the homes at the top of the photo on 5 might make it stronger?

Thanks for the great feedback, Brian, Lillian, Dan, and Tom! The Golden Retriever in #4 and 5 was not very gold, and he got blown out in #4. I might give a go with #5 just to see what I can do tomorrow.

I think I'll also give a shot at HDR for the pano and see how it comes out.

I played with #2 to tone down the BG and change the color. What do you think?

I really like the golden color in these last 3, unmistakeably gold! But I really like "whole" of the original shot - are these crops? If you do go with one of these, make sure the crop is straight - these three seem to look like they lean a little to the left (but the one you entered looks very straight).

Thanks, Tom and Lillian! They are not crops, but separate shots. I will probably stick with my current entry, but had a couple of other ideas.

    What do you think?

Thanks, Tom! I think I'll post Silver Bells to the mini - or maybe another from a different angle.
