Please add an add description area in each category

Is there any chance of getting an add description area added in each of the catergories?

I think this would be really helpful to me able to write a description or add html in making those pages landing pages to lead to the sub-categories.

Hi, we don't have that in the current version of the site. But you can add one yourself, the trick is listed in this thread of awesome customizations:
