First flight

We've had four sets of doves breeding off our back porch this summer, so this is one of many. I got lucky with the exposure to create the wing effect which I think is interesting because it was his first effort at flying. As you may see I did some PS corrections, and hope it isn't to distracting. It was a wonderful opportunity to observe them growing, and to photograph them around the yard as they grew. I'll post some better shots later

Thanks. No it was a slow shutter speed. The PS I did was some sharpening; the original had a bad green cast, and I took out a leaf covering the lower part of his tail.

Better shots? This shot is pretty good IMHO. Did you use a delayed flash to get the definition in the wings? I love shots like this, maybe someday I'll think of somethig like that. Please post more clap.gif

    More Doves
Funny you guys should say that, because I agree as well. My wife like the little one in the shot, and I gave in. I should know better, so in fact I had already done the other and here it is, but seeing it again I think it may be over sharpened. Let me know how it comes across. Here also are a few more

    I've made a mistake
I don't know how to send more than one picture. I'll try the one again.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you for your comment. I grew up in Florida from the 30's to 60's, and I thought all the beauty I remembered as a child was gone. Thank you bringing back some fond memories of what use to be.
